Arrive safely

Arrival and parking

Even the journey through our beautiful federal state is a pleasure - whether by bus, train or car. Here you will find practical information on how to get here and where to park.

The Dagebüll-Mole train stop is located directly at the ferry terminal. The neg Niebüll trains run between Niebüll and Dagebüll; the train timetable and W.D.R. ferry departures are coordinated. In Niebüll there are connections to Deutsche Bahn IC trains and DB Regio regional trains.

In the travel centres and at the Deutsche Bahn AG long-distance ticket machines, you can also obtain through tickets to the islands. On the day of arrival and departure, your DB See ticket for rail and boat to Föhr and Amrum is also valid on the regular bus service from the jetty to the bus stop in your holiday resort.

Further information:

Föhr and Amrum are the islands of short distances, so you can easily get from A to B without a car. At the ferry harbour in Dagebüll you will find a large number of parking spaces in the island car park. You can park your car here for a short time, a few hours or several days, and monthly or season tickets are also available.

The parking centre with bistro, shop and toilets is located directly on the island car park. Tickets can also be purchased here and parking fees paid on departure. The shuttle bus stops in front of the building and will take you and your luggage to the ferry terminal free of charge. You can of course also walk to the harbour - the route is signposted and takes around 10 minutes.

You can find all the information here:

Important:

  • You will receive a parking ticket when you enter the car park - please keep this until you pay on departure.

If you want to travel in a particularly sustainable and comfortable way, use the train and bus to get to Schlüttsiel. The DB Regio regional trains will take you to Bredstedt, where you can change to the connecting bus to Schlüttsiel.

Our tip: You can buy tickets to the Halligen at travel centres, at Deutsche Bahn ticket machines and online. And the DB luggage service makes your journey even more comfortable, as your suitcases are conveniently transported to your destination.

Further information:

Paid parking spaces are available for your vehicle in the immediate vicinity of the ferry terminal. Please note that the charges at the car park ticket machine can only be paid with coins or EC card.

There are of course also free car parks for coaches in Dagebüll. These are located to the left of jetty 3 on the pier.

Please note:

  • Due to construction work on the south pier in Dagebüll, there are currently no parking spaces available there. However, there are free day parking spaces for coaches at the Schmidt Reisen depot. The entrance is on the left before the roundabout to the island car park.
